Medical Requirements & Photo Consent

​

Parents/guardians must provide any medical information, allergies, additional needs or special requirements upon enrolment to ensure appropriate support.

​

Photo and video consent will be requested for promotional and documentation purposes. If you do not wish for your child to be photographed or recorded, please indicate this on the enrolment form.

Safeguarding & Staff

• The safety and wellbeing of our students is extremely important to us.

• All KSM staff working with children hold an Enhanced DBS check.

• All staff complete safeguarding training and follow KSM’s safeguarding procedures at all times.

• Staff are also trained in Paediatric First Aid, ensuring appropriate support is available should a child become unwell or require first aid during a session.

• Children are appropriately supervised throughout lessons, classes, workshops and activities.​

Payment & Booking Policy

​

• All lessons, classes and courses must be paid for in advance before the lesson or session takes place.

• A student’s place is only confirmed once the required payment has been received.

• Where lessons are booked as a block, monthly package or term, payment must be received by the stated due date and before the first lesson of the booking period.

• KSM reserves the right to withhold lessons where payment remains outstanding.

• Any applicable cancellation or rescheduling terms will continue to apply once a lesson has been booked.

Food & Hydration

Students should bring their own water bottles to stay hydrated during sessions.

If bringing snacks, please ensure they are nut-free to accommodate allergies.

Instrument Damage Clause Policy

 

For students using classroom instruments, parents/guardians will be liable for replacement costs if an instrument is deliberately damaged beyond repair:

£45 – Keyboards & Headphones

£60 – Violins

£80 – Class Cello

£30 – Ukuleles

£20 – Recorders

Up to £100 – Woodwind instruments

Children are always under the supervision of an adult, and this clause applies only in cases of deliberate damage.

 

Health & Safety Measures

​

• Hand sanitiser is available in all Music Centres

• Shared instruments and equipment are regularly cleaned and disinfected.

• Our teaching spaces provide sufficient room for students to learn and participate safely.

• Students are expected to follow reasonable health and safety instructions given by KSM staff during lessons and activities.
